    Executive Committee Chair

    Teena Porter Horlacher was born and raised in Cache Valley, Utah. She is the mother of 10 children. Teena received her bachelor's degrees at Utah State University in both Journalism and Political Science. She received a Master’s Degree from George Wythe University (GWU) in Political Economy. Teena has taught at all levels of education, including distance education for GWU.

    She is passionate about teaching individuals the proper role of government in our lives, statesmanship, and history. Teena has used her education to serve in the community. She has been politically active for 30 years, serving in the caucus and convention system at all levels and, serving as Davis County Republican Party Chair. She has planned numerous political events and has served on the Utah Republican State Central Committee for 2 terms. She considers herself to be a Constitutional Conservative. In addition, Teena has been an advocate for Parental Rights in Education. She has educated her children at home and continues to do so at the present time.     Helen Redd

    After many years devoted to supporting the Republican Party in state and county leadership roles, Helen Redd is committed to the WeCANact movement — encouraging all freedom-loving people to join the cause of Liberty in their local communities.

    She is an attorney practicing as personal general counsel — specializing in representing individuals with complex legal needs. Helen practices both civil and criminal law and takes a particular interest in post-conviction defense cases involving prosecutorial corruption or misconduct.

    In her hometown of Holladay, Helen is a community advocate. She was deeply involved in the incorporation and municipal government of her small city. A Utah native, Helen holds a JD, MBA, and BA, all from the University of Utah. She loves her family.

    Mary Burkett

    A graduate of the University of Utah where she led a team of four to a national title in Public Relations, Mary Burkett and her husband, are the parents of a combined 10 children and 30 grandchildren.

    She has run for Congress, served on the local level as a party precinct chair, county and state delegate, and State Central Committee. In addition, she has been a business owner and presently works as a recruiter for Power Selling Pros, a Utah-based training company.

    "I knew it was time to get involved because an overreaching government on any level is a threat to the freedoms for which others have fought and died to preserve. My grandchildren deserve a country that believes in them and in their ability to govern themselves".

  • Janice Legler

    Janice Legler

    Janice Walker Legler grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University, with a degree in education. She taught school for five years, in the Utah school system, then married and served the nation as an Army Wife for twenty years - the toughest job in the Army.

    She and her husband returned to Utah in 2004, and Janice began serving as a volunteer election clerk. Her desire was to continue safeguarding the liberties her family had defended for so many years. Through the associations she developed and the friends she made over the past sixteen years, she has served in the Utah Republican Party at all levels from precinct to the State Central Committee, where she Chaired the Constitution & Bylaws Committee.

    Janice has received three awards for service that are very meaningful to her: The Molly Pitcher Award (Army Community), the Silver Beaver Award (Scouting Community), and the Defender of Liberty Award (Davis County GOP).

    She is a devoted wife, a mother of four children and their spouses, and a grandmother to eight (+2 expected) grandchildren - the best of all positions. Janice is a passionate American who loves her country and believes we must defend its freedoms.
